Anointed by Golf Digest as “America’s Toughest Resort Course”, The Ocean Course was named one of Pete Dye’s most superb designs, with 10 holes that play directly along the beach and cover more than 2 miles of oceanfront dunes. The Ocean Course hosted the Senior PGA Championship in 2007, and is slated to host the PGA Championship in 2012. |

The Cougar Point Golf course at Kiawah Island was completely update by Gary Player in 1996, a makeover of one of his early design classics which resulted in a 4 1/2 star ranking from Golf Digest. A portion of the front nine plays along the Kiawah River, and the course offers views over the scenic salt water marsh and it's abundant wildlife, including exotic birds and the occasional alligator. |
